Development and effectiveness of fully automated conversational agents (chatbots) for enhancing public mental health: From pilot study to randomized controlled trial

Salary P36,958.80/ month
Location Work-from-home. Applicants may remotely complete project duties and responsibilities from anywhere in the Philippines, and must have reliable internet connection. Successful applicants from Metro Manila should be available for face-to-face meetings, events, and other project-related tasks should public health measures allow large group gatherings.
Working Hours Part-Time (50% effort, Monday to Friday), not including Regular Holidays, Special Non-Working Days, and other non-working days proclaimed by the government.

Applicants are expected to devote half their time to the project. Students currently in university or professionals currently employed may apply as PAs with the understanding that project duties and responsibilities will demand 50% of their time.

Contract Period and Terms November 2021, until September 30, 2022.

One (1) year, fixed-term, with the option for an additional year (total 2 years).

Position Overview
  • Provides technical and administrative assistance in the day-to-day implementation and operations of the research project. 
  • Assists in carrying out the overall research agenda, particularly data collection and data management. 
  • Supports the project staff across the four main project units
    • one (1) PA will be assigned to the App Development Unit, and
    • one (1) PA will be assigned to the Psychotherapeutic Content Unit
  • Helps ensure that project deliverables, reports, and other support services are timely, complete, and in keeping with the project’s Data Safety and Monitoring Plan, its key obligations to the funder, and its regular reporting to the Ethics Review Committee.
Training and Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree (ongoing or completed) or relevant work experience in project implementation or project support services in the health or health- related sector
  • Experience in research operations: coordinating, gathering, preparing and presenting data, planning and organizing research-related activities
Desirable Skills
  • Degree (ongoing or completed) in social and behavioral sciences, public health, or another health-related field
  • Familiarity with mobile or web-based mental health technologies
  • Familiarity with Philippine-specific mental health issues
  • Familiarity with local, regional, and national healthcare systems
  • Familiarity with non-profit research culture, network, and administration
