DOH TRC – BICUTAN was hailed as the biggest rehabilitation center in the Philippines as far as client population is concerned, which at a time, catered to almost 3,000 drug dependents at one time. This includes substance – abusing street children which are housed in the Bahay Bagong Buhay Rehabilitation Center, also located within the TRC compound.
During the last quarter of 2010, the Center was accredited by the DOH Bureau of Health Facilities services as a DOH accredited Treatment center
At the moment, the center is classified as a Special Hospital ie. a Drug Treatment, Training and Research facility under the Department of Health, duly accredited by the same.
