Hey there, mental health champs! #MentalHealthPH is currently developing a mobile mental health app that aims to promote mental well-being and reduce psychological distress. And because this is an app for Filipinos by Filipinos, we want to make sure many Filipinos can use it! We need your help translating our mental health app into six local languages: Tagalog, Bicolano, Ilocano, Cebuano, Waray, and Hiligaynon! Click HERE for full details.

Are you in the field of psychology, behavioral science, programming, software engineering, and other related fields? Join our research team and help us build mobile mental health apps for Filipinos!

Our team is looking for one (1) Science Consultant and one (1) Technology Consultant who will work on a part-time and work-from-home basis, in support of the development, design, and launch of two (2) evidence-based mobile applications on mental health and wellbeing for Filipinos!

The Science Consultant will provide solution-focused, nuanced advice from the perspective of psychology, behavioral science, or related fields.

The Technology Consultant will provide their expertise from the perspective of programming, software engineering or development, computer science, or similar disciplines.

Help us understand your experience of depression and anxiety, your story matters!

We’re reopening our survey to 18-35 year-olds! #MentalHealthPH wants to understand depression and anxiety among Filipinos. This will help us build a mobile mental health app to promote mental wellbeing and reduce psychological distress.

What do I need to do?

You just need to answer a 10-minute survey with questions about mental health, depression, and anxiety!

Am I qualified?

Yes, if you:

[UPDATED] Are Filipino, 18 years old or older
Own a mobile phone/tablet with internet access
Have been clinically diagnosed of depression or anxiety in the past 12 months
Have current or had recent contact with or tried to contact mental health professionals, services, or treatment in the past 12 months

What does contact mean?

Contact is any communication or (e.g., live, virtual, phone, text), attempted or completed, with a mental health service (e.g., hotline, private practice, school counseling, hospital, clinic) provided by a trained volunteer or professional (e.g., counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist), regardless of nature of intervention or treatment (e.g., one-time phone call to a hotline, group support, talk therapy, psychotropic medication).

What’s the benefit?

Not only will you be able to contribute to building a mental health app, but you may receive up to Php 650 via GCash after participating!

What are the details of the research?

This research is led by Ronald Del Castillo, PsyD, MPH, FRSPH. It is funded by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development, Department of Science and Technology (PCHRD-DOST). Ethics compliance is reviewed and approved by University of Santo Tomas, College of Rehabilitation Sciences, Ethics Review Committee.
